DESTROY-REBUILD
Mammal Gallery / June 17 – July 7
The goal of Destroy-Rebuild is to bring together many different artists to destroy works of the past in order to create the materials for new work.
Phase 1:
Artwork will be Destroyed, pulverized beyond recognition, and from the scraps of the wreckage, we will Rebuild.
What will we build? That is up to you to decide.
Phase 2:
We will host open gallery hours each week for artists and “nonartists” to come build new artwork only using material generated from the destroyed art.
Phase 3:
The end result will be an entirely new show consisting of the collective work of all of those who participate.
